We Give Back
ECP Commercial is committed to be more than a successful business. We are committed to our community and give back on several fronts. From our leadership in founding Home’s for Hospice, The Real Estate Society of San Diego State and The Real Estate Alliance of UCSD, to our contributions to local schools, to our practice of adopting needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas, ECP thinks giving back is good business.

Real Estate Society of SDSU
ECP Commercial took the lead to provide college students with an educational experience beyond the classroom. Approached by ECP broker’s Joe Anderson and Pat Geary, Joe Bonin and ECP took up the challenge to build a sustainable real estate program that would operate independently (but in conjunction with) the University and its academic program. Started in the summer of 2003, this group began planning a program that would be without peer in the San Diego University system. Since that humble beginning, The Real Estate Society program has grown from just a few members to the premier student organization at SDSU. Now boasting 70 members and a sponsorship list that reads like a who’s who of San Diego real estate, The RES program is clearly the premier student run real estate organization in San Diego. This success preceeded the 2010 opening of the McMillin Center for Real Estate Studies at SDSU with Mark McMillin and Corky McMillin Companies being the title sponsor of the Real Estate Society program. Real Estate Society Presentation
The SDSU Real Estate Society's mission is to provide San Diego State University students with the premier organization on campus, whose purpose is to inform and guide students of the various career opportunities in the real estate field, as well as assist with skill assessment and development to provide its members with appropriate job placement. -
UCSD Real Estate Alliance
ECP Commercial has continued its commitment to university level real estate education with the UCSD Real Estate Alliance. With the success of RES at SDSU, ECP was approached by students of UCSD who wanted to build a group similar to what had been done at SDSU. Always up for a challenge, ECP again took up the cause and has began assisting these students in their quest to build the premier student run group at SDSU. REA approaches its mission of assisting students to become employed in real estate by bringing in guest speakers from the San Diego real estate community as well as conducts on-site case studies of San Diego real estate projects. This hands on study supplements other activities such as the resume workshop and mock interviews as well as conducting joint activities with other San Diego University’s like the Urban Land Institute panel that featured speakers Mailin Burnham, Jack McGrory, Mark McMillin. -

Entrepreneurial Management Center
ECP supports the Entrepreneurial Management Center of San Diego State. EMC is San Diego’s best resource to support closely held and family owned businesses. A long time member and supporter, ECP Commercial believes that the work done by Carmen Bianchi, sandy Erlich and the EMC staff is critical to help build San Diego’s business community. EMC delivers resources to its members that would be impossible to touch with their help. Guest speakers, case studies and access to EMC sponsors as well as the fellowship and friendship that occurs between members make the Entrepreneurial Management Center one of San Diego business greatest assets. -
St. Augustine / St. Michael School
The principals of ECP have been a product of and believe strongly in Catholic education. Accordingly we support the programs of these schools as we feel that they embody what we believe. At Saints, Community, Truth and Love are the three pillars of everything they do from their outstanding athletic programs to their top curriculum. St. Michael School conducts its programs much the same way with excellence demanded in both the athletic fields and the classrooms.
