Pat Geary joined ECP Commercial in May 2005 as a “runner” to Joe Bonin. In addition to his time spent studying under Joe, Pat was exposed to all facets of the commercial real estate business including property management, commercial leasing, construction management and real estate financing. This diverse understanding facilitated Pat’s ability to analyze properties of all types and draw from a variety of experiences to provide his clients with investment strategies and opportunities. During his first year at ECP, Pat assisted Joe with a variety of investment transactions, including a $25,000,000 portfolio sale on behalf of a large family trust.

In January 2007, Pat partnered with Doug Rittermann to establish the Investment Division for ECP Commercial, specializing in the representation of owners in the sale, acquisition and exchange of commercial properties in the East and Central areas of San Diego County. 2007 proved to be a successful debut as the team closed more than $20 million worth of transactions. 

Prior to his career with ECP, Pat worked as a Broker Trainee for Sperry Van Ness in their San Diego office, working under one of the firm’s top investment brokers. Pat is a graduate of San Diego State University where he earned a B.A. in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate. While attending SDSU, Pat co-founded The Real Estate Society of SDSU, a student organization dedicated to providing training for entry into the San Diego real estate industry through real world education out side of the class room. Pat continues to stay involved in an advisory role as the RES Alumni Co-President.
